Litter surveys
The Friends of Langstone Harbour have always taken a keen interest in litter and junk along the shoreline.
For that reason for more than 16 years we have conducted quarterly litter surveys on behalf of the Marine Conservation Society using their protocol at our adopted beach.
Also in the spring of each year we have taken to surveying the entire harbour shoreline (where it is accessible to us) principally to see where our "Last Saturday" volunteer efforts might be most fruitfully directed.
